Sunday drive to the beach

It is only a few miles down to the beach so we go for Sunday lunch and to enjoy the perfect weather, 78 and a cool breeze.

By now we are friends with the family that runs Clara's and La Barca is the seaside family restaurant so we feel just like locals here. We got two bottles of yummy Lemoncello. John K was in car heaven as Forte di Marne is the poshest spot on the Italian Riveria and you get a clue by the Ferrari's, Citroen, and Porsche's.  If there were any doubt from the clothes people wear to the white Carrera marble sidewalks the stores lining the streets are Gucci, Armani and that ilk.  Lavish villas line the streets and nannies fill the playground with their young charges. As Patti said, "there is a lot of human eye candy cruising around."

Plus La Barca is a favorite of Andrea Bocelli and he ate dinner at this table last night. I think the chair was still warm
