| The villa...bedrooms were mostly on the top floor. This beautiful villa was recently restored. It is 600 years old and Puccini wrote Tosca while living in this villa. To this day the last few notes of the church bells are the same ones he incorporated in one of the arias. When Napoleon took Italy he took this villa and the convent next door. His sister married a local and her descendants live there today. Lots of history. |
